Hello from Canada.

Please find enclosed copies of a couple of many letters sent to ****** at Murphy Oil in Calgary.

This is a small example of the uncalled-for attitude of Murphy Oil.

It appears to me that non-truths and deceptions are part of Murphy’s general ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ attitude". I have made many requests to Mr.****** for a meeting with me and he continually refuses. I believe ****** ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~does not want to know the truth.

We have a multinational corporation sending lawyer dogs after a small farmer to settle issues that could be resolved by anyone from Murphy, if they had someone with honesty, integrity and gonads. We all know that a small farmer/landowner cannot afford lawyers to effectively challenge big oil ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The enclosed letters are only a sampling ~~~~~~~~~~~ that has been bestowed upon me by Murphy Oil. In my world Murphy Oil is the big bully who loves to kick the small guy just because they have the money and size to do it. I think you forget that the lands you are affecting are our homes and livelihood. You don’t have to look far to find that there is a lot of conflict in the industry between landowner and oil companies. Mr. ****** has made reference to this, but on the other hand has made no attempt at resolution. If he tells you that Murphy has been at the table for two and a half years, as he has told the media, that is not true and I shall be happy to tell you the truth if you really want to know.

I recall being ostracized a couple of times by Murphy Oil, within the past two plus years, once for about seven months. I believe that Murphy Oil refers to this type of action as being at the table and bargaining in good faith. This type of action is something you may expect for some teenyboppers at school, not something from so-called corporate management.

A meeting between Murphy Oil, legal council and myself was arranged for March 2/05 at 1 PM in Red Deer, about a one-hour drive from my place. I prepared myself for the meeting and arrived about ten minutes early, only to find out that Murphy cancelled at the last minute. This~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ is going too far. When Murphy’s prearranged representative was asked why he did not show, he denied knowing anything about this meeting. You can believe it. I don’t.

I believe it is time for Murphy Oil to get their act together and quit blowing smoke ~~~~~~~~~~~~
