Mr. ******

Murphy Oil Co. Ltd

Calgary, Alberta.

******

Saturday October 23, a landman from ****** Land Consulting on behalf of Murphy Oil was delivering a letter in the neighbourhood. This person delivered a letter to a renter I have on S.E. 20 42 3 W 5.. This location has a gravel road and turn around area that the resident of this location and all other people use.

In keeping with the "don’t give a damn" attitude of Murphy Oil this representative of Murphy Oil chose to drive approx. 75 feet out into my hay field to turn his truck around.

When Murphy Oil began construction of the lease on 3 20 42 3 W 5 this summer a vacuum type truck pulling a shack type trailer turned around in my driveway. In the process he ran over and broke a metal driveway marker. I heard the marker break from inside my house. As the driver left he looked back at what he had done but carried on. Within approx. 20 minutes I found the truck on your lease at 3 of 20. The driver was no where to be seen. Another example of Murphy Oils " don’t give a damn" attitude.

As recently as Saturday a Murphy representative from ****** Land Consulting was distributing letters of a non-objection nature. I, as a landowner on section 20 42 3 W 5 was not presented with one of these letters. I am aware that the person who rents a house site from me received one of these letters and yet I, as a landowner, have not.

I questioned the landman delivering these letters and he said I already have one. I tried to explain to him that the letter I have and the one he was delivering were not the same letter and I requested that I be given a copy of the letter he was delivering.

This was on Saturday the 23 of October. He said he didn’t have an extra and said he would see what he could do on Monday [October 25/04]. I told him I would be expecting to hear from him on Monday. By Monday night I had not heard from him, so I phoned him. More of Murphy Oils " don’t give a damn" attitude. His reply as to why I had not received the letter requested was "Has ****** not phoned you?" My answer was no. He implied that ****** would be phoning me today, which he has not done.

The letter in reference is time sensitive and this type of delay is totally out of order.

Murphy’s reluctance to provide me with a copy of this revised letter leads me to smell a rat.

Do you really care about the people that you exploit in your quest for oil and gas?

Note: This letter does not have anything to do with the lease site in question. It is related to a Murphy site on another property. To have property damaged by activities on a lease site on your own place is one thing. To have your property damaged by activities not related to your property is going too far. Issues have not been resolved. Will try to work in more details during the construction of this site.
