Transcanada Pipelines Limited Nova Gas Transmission Limited
To all the landowners who have Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) pipelines or surface structures on their land: Do you feel or believe that Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) “bare land” values represent an accurate and true value of your land?
Hi, my name is Aubrey and I have Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) pipelines through my land west of Rimbey, Alberta.
Approximately 5 years ago my land value agreement came up for renewal. I wrote a very comprehensive letter to Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) explaining my concerns over their “bare land” values assigned to my land. I never received a reply. Follow-ups also failed to receive replies. My “bare land” value agreement has again come up for review. I again sent letters of concerns of Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) “bare land” values on my land. I sent letters to Sr. Land Representative A. P. on July /10 and September /10, followed by reminders on November /10, December /10 and January /11, with no response from A. P.. A phone conversation with a woman ( C ) from Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) promising to send me information on other land parcels in my area that were used for comparison “bare land” values did not materialize. No information was ever forthcoming. Have you ever had the feeling that maybe some companies feel that if they ignore you long enough, you will go away?
In February /11, (approximately 7 months later) I finally received a reply from Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) albeit not from A.P. or C. This time it is another Sr. Land Representative D.K.. First impressions of D.K.’s approach does not give me any indication that Transcanada Pipelines (Nova) is really interested in the landowners’ concerns. Check back for further postings.
